The Mystery about the mysterious....

In today's #DigitalDabba, I would want to introduce you to two very strong and meticulous characters who have taught me a thing or two over this last weekend. Inspector Maruti Nagargoje and Kevin Thomas. People who have the power to make us think about what we are doing, where we are heading to and how we are going to end up. You might feel that I am kind of obsessed with crime and mystery thrillers which is partly right. It seems to be the current flavour of the season for me.

#LIFEGOALS - Inspector Maruti Nagargoje is assigned a strange case which on the face of it seems like a simple accident of an elderly person who stays with his son and daughter-in-law. He raises all sorts of doubts and queries and confuses the rest of them to think it could have been a suicide or even a murder attempt. He makes sure he is on the nerves of everyone involved till the end. On the other hand Mr. Kevin Thomas works is a Cyber Security Engineering, a top paying role in the current digital world. He has been requested personally by his Aunt to find out about a certain girl whom her son had met online and now wants to get married to. Though he is reluctant about using his expertise for entertaining such personal requests, he goes ahead with it for the sake of his cousin.

#STRENGTHS - On one hand Inspector Maruti Nagargoje tries to bring us close to certain real facts which we tend to ignore or avoid in our monotonous lifestyle and on the other hand he also tries hard to play with our minds and our assumptions to be precise. While Kevin Thomas shows us a sneak peak into the background of what goes behind the beautiful virtual world that we all have become a par of, he also makes sure that we stop and think about our human values for a while.

#FATALBLOWS - Inspector Maruti Nagargoje doesn't stop at suspecting that it could have been a murder attempt but goes to the length of creating a panic situation for both the daughter-in-law and the son. The final blow is when the son becomes the prime suspect owing to few uncanny proofs. Meanwhile, Kevin Thomas comes to know that his cousin has landed in trouble because of the girl whom he was about to marry. And he decides to get deeper into the details of it.

#GIVEAWAYS - Both Inspector Maruti Nagargoje and Kevin Thomas make sure that we go along them with their thoughts, follow their assumptions and get judgemental about things through out till the end. Both these movies offer two distinct yet strong inherent messages which are very essential in current day's materialistic world that is ever changing.

The reason why I do not want to spill out any more beans about it is that I want you to go watch them and feel it for yourself. Do not take it otherwise. In case you are curious or suspicious, do hit #AmazonPrime to watch these lovely works of fiction.

Inspector Maruti Nagargoje played by Nana Patekar in Apla Manus (Marathi - 2017)

Kevin Thomas played by Fahaad Fasil in C U Soon (Malayalam - 2020)

7 TIPS TO MAKE JOURNALING A DAILY HABIT

Habits make us what we are. True that. Many of us are familiar and are probably experts at writing a Diary. In fact any one who has ever tried maintaining a diary at some point of our lives are all potential writers according to me. A diary is the only place where we can put out our thoughts without deliberation, where we can shout out loud about our inhibitions, where we can mention our fantasies without hesitation. I have too many lovely memories of writing a diary. My day would start and end with it. And one thing that would always find place in it on any given day was my love for Prem. Had to stop the habit as it turned out that people in my family got suspicious that I would someday elope with a guy named Salman Khan. I know, you must be having a laugh at it, but back then it was a little serious, not to forget that I was just 15 then. I never got back to that habit again. Yet, he remains my eternal heart throb till date.  Thanks to the advent of technology and our friendly so...

.... I Grew Up? DID I?

I grew up learning that " To Err is human but to Forgive is Divine ". And now I prefer being human committing errors now and then just to prove that I am human, arguing on my point being right even if it weren't and I knew it from the word Go, trying to convince myself that its alright to be human and err rather than asking for forgiveness and make them feel Divine. And now I realise that it's harder to be human than to be divine. Why then would we Indians not forgive the Pakistanis for what a few grown ups had to do to us. While I was a kid and had to attend school which I hated then, I always felt one would never get to nowhere by going to school. But 16 years after I was done with my schooling and after the Supreme court ruled that elementary education should be made a fundamental right, the Rajya Sabha passed a legislation to provide free and compulsory education to every child in the age group of 6-14 years and from class I to VIII. All these years I grew up ...
