THE ART OF LEARNING

I know most of us here are confused, flabbergasted and maybe even clueless when it comes to things like #learning #unlearning #relearning and #upskilling. And this is what I want to talk about in #MangalMazaa, every Tuesday. Stay tuned for tips, tricks and more. To be doubly sure, I am going to start with what the dictionary says about these words.

Learning – The acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience or by being taught.

Unlearning – Discard (something learned, especially a bad habit or a false or an outdated information) from one’s memory.

Relearning – To learn something again.

Upskilling – To help an employee / subordinate with gaining additional skills or to learn additional skills related to one’s field of work.

Seems quite simple, doesn’t it. But might not be as simple as it seems. So here’s my version of these 4 wonderful words which changed my life for good.

Learning – Entering into a completely unknown area to find light and reflect on my attitude and character with an open mind.

Unlearning – Making sure I scrap off every little thing that I learnt about something earlier.

Relearning – Trying to learn something from scratch. No priors, no experiences, no opinions. All with a blank mind.

Upskilling – Working closely with my peers and subordinates on identifying their field of interests and areas in which they are lacking to improve their capabilities and in the process, enhancing my own skills too.

So, tell me in the comments section which phase are you in? Are you facing difficulties in any of the phase that you are in? Let’s share and overcome them together.

7 TIPS TO MAKE JOURNALING A DAILY HABIT

Habits make us what we are. True that. Many of us are familiar and are probably experts at writing a Diary. In fact any one who has ever tried maintaining a diary at some point of our lives are all potential writers according to me. A diary is the only place where we can put out our thoughts without deliberation, where we can shout out loud about our inhibitions, where we can mention our fantasies without hesitation. I have too many lovely memories of writing a diary. My day would start and end with it. And one thing that would always find place in it on any given day was my love for Prem. Had to stop the habit as it turned out that people in my family got suspicious that I would someday elope with a guy named Salman Khan. I know, you must be having a laugh at it, but back then it was a little serious, not to forget that I was just 15 then. I never got back to that habit again. Yet, he remains my eternal heart throb till date.  Thanks to the advent of technology and our friendly so...

A letter from Mother Nature to us.....

Looks like centuries have gone past when you worshipped me like a Goddess not to mention, each of my forms was looked up to as nothing less than mere pious I have seen you rip me totally apart bit by bit, skin, flesh, bones and heart have been tormented and tortured too just for a few pleasures of beings like you And now you accuse me openly of putting in my demonic wrath against you oh! How could you even imagine a mother doing something like that to you How I wish I could soothen you make you believe I can calm you that it is all done by none other than beings like you and the ones suffering are also good souls like you.
