NOT SO heroic...

Have you realised that we have spent almost half year in home #quarantine. Hopefully everyone around is safe. And on a mission to survive this lockdown till it lasts. Weird. For all those who think they are independent, this lockdown has shown that they are still dependant on their career or their workplace to make them feel complete and on the other hand those who were totally dependant on their family and friends have envisioned their new found independence during this time. Which makes it all the more clear that life is unfair at times but can never let you down totally. Last week I met some people on my #digitaldabba who had been through a fair share of unfairness of life. I am not pitying them. But just letting you know in case you come across them.

#LIFEGOALS – An author who is narrating the story of his first book, Krishna, the story of a happy go lucky guy from Vizag living with his single Mom and sister, pursuing his graduation, deeply in love with his senior Satya and goes totally obsessed by her only to get dumped by her eventually. His ultimate #goal is to get her back into his life only till he meets the love of his life Radha, his junior. On the other hand we have Prem Kumar Yadav from Chattisgarh who sees no fun in doing a Govt. job following his father’s footsteps and instead forays his way into #entrepreneurship by setting up a Beetle Leaf store. Yes. You read it right. Read it again if you wish to. Pan ki dukan. The location of the shop is completely pathetic as no one comes that way, until a family comes to stay in the house right opposite to the shop. That’s when all the hooligans start making trips to the shop. Only to witness and woo the teenage girl who lives in that house. For whatever reason, his shop was booming now which made Prem happy.

#STRENGTHS – Krishna cannot stay without giving away his immense love. And that’s why, he starts pouring all his love to his new found muse Radha. His greatest quality is that he can love anyone with all his heart. Anyone. So much so that his mother feels that she is a right match for him and he should consider being serious with her. This is when he shifts to Bangalore for a job to stay with his sister and sees her hot looking roommate Ruksar. With life going all easy until he bumps into his ex-girlfriend Satya in Bangalore, he is confused if he still has feelings for her. Prem, is happy about the traffic his shop was getting and the sales going up till he sees the girl in the opposite house – Rinku Nanoriya. He falls instantly for her and thinks that he is way above the other hooligans who come and stand by his shop to ogle at her, to get a glance of her or may be even win a chance to smile and talk to her. So now, he starts thinking of ways to shoo away the traffic from his shop to beat his competition.

#FATALBLOWS – Krishna finds himself #twotiming both Satya and Radha and feels that he loves both of them equally without each of them having knowledge about the other. It is in his sister’s wedding that all hell breaks lose and something unimaginable happens. He takes advise from the person he had hated all his life, the person who had abandoned his Mom, him and his sister to fate for another lady, the person he never liked calling his DAD. And the next thing we know is he is opening up to both his lovers together about his love for them. Imagine the chaos. And yet he had no regret about it. Prem too comes up with a solid plan to defame Rinku Nanoriya, only to make people start thinking low about her so that he could take a chance and express his feelings for her in the meantime. But this plan goes a little cross and back fires on him. He gets caught. The family trusts him so badly that they get him out on bail only to inform him that they are leaving the place for good.

#GIVEAWAYS – What draws you to Krishna is not just his weird ways of life but his equation with his family. A father who has not been a part of his life but appears just at the right time to save him from making his life a disaster. A mother who doesn’t believe in #showingoff that she had raised two kids on her own and a sister who is open enough to accept her brother’s relationships without being judgemental about it. A pretty awesome disoriented family, must say. Prem tries everything possible under the sky to save his love interest from becoming a prey to the sleazy hooligans without once making an attempt to get closer to her. The best time of his day was when she comes out to walk her dog for 5 minutes only so he could take a glance at her. What was strange was it was all about the girl, but the girl was never in the scene at all and yet managed to pull out a bunch of ruffians.

If you are in for some light stuff and a different take of men unlike the machos and those heroes who make it impossible not to fall for them, you should definitely give them a watch on #Netflix. More power to people like Krishna and Prem (One more reason why I liked this character is the name. Reminds me of the eternal Prem of Bollywood, my favorite – Salman Khan)

Sidhu Jonnalagadda - Krishna and his Leela (Telugu)

Jitendra Kumar – Chaman Bahar (Hindi)

Happy Mother's Day........

Wishing my friends a not just a Happy but a Wonderful Mother's Day. I just realised that we are no more just friends, we are probably extended family. They say a friend in need is a friend indeed, But these guys were there for me even when I didn't need them. Love you guys. Keep rocking. We are meant to be. My memories of this day go back to about 13 yrs from now, we've been celebrating this day from then on with a little difference every year. Today, we don't celebrate this day of the year like the earlier ones, but we still do it together........ in a different sense though. It all started when we loved spending time with each other and never used to leave any chance of celebration just for the sake of being together. We adored our Moms with flowers, cards, gifts, goodies and also ended up doing the daily chores for them (couple of times). All this not only because we loved our Mom's but also because we could get another reason to celebrate .......... together

Monday Mornings

Monday Mornings taught me that it's fine to forget the sweet memories of yesterday and move on to the goodies coming forth. During my early days of life Monday Mornings were filled with gradual lethargy caused due to the remains of the previous days' fun and frolic leading to come up with various reasons of not going to School but in vain. A little later they marked the excitement of getting back to my pals with juicy gossip and blabber within me and I started looking forward to the Monday Mornings. End of school and it looked as if these Monday Mornings would never turn up again in life. And they never did....till date. Monday Mornings taught me that it is not always what happens but also who all were with us when it happened that that makes it a special memory.   When in college it was a different story altogether. We considered it to be the best day of the whole week when we used to spend the whole day scheduling our week on submitting assignments with " Better late

A Religion called TECHNOLOGY

How many of us understand our religion let alone following it religiously? None. Now that was way too easy. Most of us actually get irritated on the name of religion, yes, you read it right. IRRITATED. Might be because it's so complicated to understand and more so to follow. Yet, there's a strange thing which I have noticed. A special religion which we keep following while we study, play, work, dine, gossip and even when we need to communicate to one another. A religion which we follow sub consciously all through the day and can't do without. A religion, called TECHNOLOGY .  A religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs - Wikipedia says it.   We don't wake up to the tinkling of our Mom's Bangles, we don't g
