What is IT?

We all are going through these tough times, though we are not meeting up, we are together in it and will together rise above this phase. This one is for all those school children who are forced to stay home and do things like it is just a normal day and for all those parents & teachers who think that these kids are nothing more than just a bundle of troubles......

Streets during Lockdown

When I saw him standing all alone and gloomy,
I thought he must be missing school
and all his friends super cool.
Could it be possible that he
had been waiting with his sack
to meet his teacher and get a pat on the back?

There she was, sitting far away
on the side porch and definitely thinking
of when she could get back to mingling.
Or was she just wondering how she
could help her Mom's eyes full of rain
and try to share a little of her pain?

And those little monsters there
must be surely filling up their tanks
with all those naughty secret pranks.
May be not. They are just too scared
that they might not get actually taught
how this pandemic by people together was fought.

This was definitely inspired by two great classics. With nothing similar to the context at all but great renditions. And I would love to quote my favourite lines from these renditions too that inspired me to write this bit.

1. @QUE SERA SERA by DORIS DEY #THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH

Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be
The future's not our's to see
Que Sera Sera
What will be will be.

2. @YOU SAY IT BEST WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL by RONAN KEATING #THE NOTTING HILL

The smile on your face let's me know that you need me.
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me.
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall.
You say it best when you say nothing at all.

the FIRST INDIAN FEMALE TEACHER

The advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of equality of the sexes is the dictionary definition of FEMINISM . Don’t worry. I am not going to write about Feminism today. It is way to heavy a topic to be written about for my #wisewednesdays . But it is definitely something worth being read. Have no doubts about that. Not just because I am writing it, but also because of who it is being written about. I am sure most of you must be familiar about her, it’s ok even if you are not. No one is going to fine you for that. A social reformer, educationalist and a poet, she is regarded as the first female teacher of India. She opposed several of the then prevalent societal ills like child marriage, sati, untouchability, gender and caste based discrimination and advocated strongly for widow re marriages and inter caste marriages. Born on 3rd January, 1831 and married at the age of 9 to a 13 year old social reformer who not only encouraged her to educate herself but supported her quest to...

A Religion called TECHNOLOGY

How many of us understand our religion let alone following it religiously? None. Now that was way too easy. Most of us actually get irritated on the name of religion, yes, you read it right. IRRITATED. Might be because it's so complicated to understand and more so to follow. Yet, there's a strange thing which I have noticed. A special religion which we keep following while we study, play, work, dine, gossip and even when we need to communicate to one another. A religion which we follow sub consciously all through the day and can't do without. A religion, called TECHNOLOGY .  A religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs - Wikipedia says it.   We don't wake up to the tinkling of our Mom's Bangles, we don't g...
